NRG Swimmers & Parents,

     It is time for us to start preparing for the Summer Season. While I know that we are still not through the winter, it is important that we get this information out as quickly as possible. Please review all the information provided, as there have been several changes made going into the Summer Season.

     In order to provide the best possible program for our members and improve upon our existing program, the NRG coaching staff has restructured the age group program. This was done for several reasons.

1. To provide a program that does a more accurate job of placing swimmers into situations that will help them to succeed.
2. To provide a more gradual and progressive program that has less of a gap between training levels. This should allow for easier transitions between groups in the future.
3. To insure that swimmers are getting the proper amount and type of training needed for their given age.
4. To allow more flexibility in practice structure and lane assignments, making it easier to insure that swimmers are able to get the training they need to continually improve.
5. To help promote excellence at all levels of competition.
6. To help grow the foundation of NRG Swimming and provide for a more prosperous future.

     Most of the changes have taken place at the lower, educational levels of the team. Not really affected by these change are the Gold, Junior, and Senior groups. Although, you will notice that Gold is no longer a group name, swimmers within that group will still be training during the same time periods.
